The West Bromwich at War 1939-45 project reached its conclusion in November with a series of events in the town centre. The new web site was launched, an exhibition of material from the project was shown at the Arts Cafe, Central Sixth, New Square – for a 10 week period. As a venue in West Bromwich, Central Sixth has several hundred people passing through the doors each day, along with additional open events, conferences seminars and school visits – so the Arts Cafe on the ground floor offered a good space to share the work of the project with a wide audience. The book of the project was launched at the Arts Cafe on 23rd November, with related events and talks at Central Library and a special Film Night at the Royal Naval Association.
