As March is Women’s History Month we remember two West Bromwich women who were involved in important work of their day.
Dr. Annie Homer 1882-1953 was a Research Scientist at a time when it was difficult for women to have scientific careers. She is an ancestor of one of our members.
Lucy Townsend 1781-1847 was both a daughter of, and a wife of, Vicars of All Saints Church and became a driving force in the local women’s anti-slavery movement.
